Based on testing , I have found that installing Windows 2012 on G8 servers was very easy, all you had to do is just upgrade the firmware of your server using Service Pack for Proliant version August 2012 “http://h18004.www1.hp.com/products/servers/service_packs/en/eula.2012.08.0.html”.
Then add your Windows 2012 DVD, and install the OS, it will find the needed drivers and no Problem.
Yesterday, I found an HP document that stated the requirements of installing Windows 2012 New Release. It stated the following:
1- Recommended 2GHZ processor.
2- Recommended 4GB RAM.
3- Recommended 40 GB HDD.
4- Recommended Update your server using the HP SPP 2012.10.0
Found on this link: http://h18004.www1.hp.com/products/servers/service_packs/en/index.html
5- And you Can Install Windows 2012 using Intelligent provisioning feature, by Pressing F10 while Booting.
Using “Insight Control Server Deployment” Formerly known as “RDP”
Windows 2012 can only be installed Using the “ HP Insight Control server deployment 7.1.2 “ , which is an update installed over HP SIM 7.1
The update is available in the following link: https://h20392.www2.hp.com/portal/swdepot/displayProductInfo.do?productNumber=HPICE#Download
I will try to upload a video for this soon, so please keep updated with my youtube.com account, and soon you will find it.
The document that is supplied by HP for this, has been published on October 2012, you may find it on: Implementing Microsoft Windows Server 2012 on HP ProLiant servers
